Episode 339: Solocast - Pause & Heal

Let’s normalize sabbatical healing.

Sometimes the bravest thing is the scariest thing to do and that is to say stop. I’m done. Sometimes the most loving and kind thing you can do for yourself is to take time away.

You see, when we try to keep pushing through rather than taking a break, we hurt more than ourselves. We hurt the organizations we work for and we do a disservice to our patients when we don’t take care of ourselves.

For me it took many different modalities and years away to help me feel healed. For you it may not take that long, but you do have to work on healing.

Listen in to hear more and learn how my dog Linus inspired me to get help for myself.

Vow to be better than what broke you, heal instead of becoming bitter.
